Wesley's Wednesday-night gathering has long been the centerpiece of our ministry.

We invite you to join us for a free home-cooked meal and fellowship each Wednesday night during the school year at 6 p.m. in Ross Hall at Tempe First United Methodist Church. Tempe First is on University Drive between Forest and College avenues.

Nooma is an inspirational and thought-provoking video series by pastor Rob Bell, and a group meets every Sunday morning in between the 9:30 and 11:30 services at Tempe First UMC for discussion based on these videos.

Read to Me at UMOM

Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.

UMOM New Day Centers
3320 E. Van Buren St., Phoenix

Looking for something fun to do on a Tuesday night? Come to Read to Me with all your Wesley friends!

United Methodist Outreach Ministries' New Day Center in Phoenix is Arizona's largest family homeless shelter, and Read to Me has anywhere from 30 to 90 kids that come to read on Tuesday nights.

Wesley students meet at 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Tempe First UMC to carpool to UMOM. There, they help set up, read with the kids for an hour, and are back at Tempe First by 8 p.m.

Sidewalk Sunday School

Jan. 26, Feb. 16, Mar. 25, Apr. 19, and May 3, 2008

One Saturday morning each month, volunteers from Tempe First United Methodist Church play games, read books, and have a prayer time with the kids from a nearby apartment complex.

On January 26, February 16, March 25, April 19, and May 3, volunteers will meet at the church parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and carpool to the apartment complex.
